Which countries have approved the Emergency use of the Covaxin Vaccine which is a Home Grown Vaccine of India..
Nowadays, A lot of countries are reopening their international borders to essential foreign travelers, and some countries are even open for regular tourists who want to enter their country for leisure travel..
Some countries are only open for fully vaccinated travelers and some are open even for unvaccinated guests.. But those countries that are allowing unvaccinated travelers, require the travelers to quarantine upon arrival.. However, they provide an exemption from quarantine and testing protocols if an individual is fully vaccinated..
Each country has its own list of vaccines that will be recognized in their country..
WHO Approved Covaxin
WHO was not giving approval to Covaxin for Many months and they kept on asking for more documents but finally, they have approved the Covaxin and added Covaxin in the Emergency use listing, for now, WHO only have approved Covaxin for 18+ peoples but the FDA of India has already approved the COvaxin of peoples over 2 years..
However, WHO is still thinking to give the green flag to Covaxin for pregnant ladies, because they are still not sure if Covaxin is safe for pregnant ladies or not, but the Bharat Biotech will give more additional documents and prove it that Covaxin is safe for pregnant ladies too..
Which countries have approved Covaxin
If you are from India, you must have taken either Covaxin or Covishield (AstraZeneca). The Covishield is approved in most of the countries because it holds approval from the WHO for many months.. But Covaxin just got approval from the WHO and that is the reason why very few countries have given approval to Covaxin but slowly every country will start giving approval to Covaxin..

- Australia
- Estonia
- Guyana
- Greece
- India
- Iran
- Mauritius
- Mexico
- Nepal
- Oman
- Paraguay
- Philippines
- Zimbabwe
- United Kingdom
- United States of America
- SriLanka (Sri Lanka did not officially approve the Covaxin but the Sri Lankan government said, any vaccine which is approved in the country of Origin will be accepted in Sri Lanka, Hence they indirectly approved every vaccine)
Note - Most of the above countries are not open at the time I am writing this blog, but these are the countries that have approved the Covaxin for now..

The WHO has given approval to 8 vaccines, and all of these 8 vaccines are in the EUL (Emergency Use Listing)

Approved in 98 Countries and 33 Trials in 17 Countries

4. AstraZeneca/Oxford
Approved in 121 Countries and 39 Trials in 21 Countries
5. Covishiled (Serum Institute of India)
Approved in 45 Countries and 2 Trials in 1 Country
6. Sinopharm (Beijing)
Approved in 64 Countries and 12 Trials in 7 Countries
7. CoronaVac/Sinovac
Approved in 39 Countries and 19 Trials in 7 Countries
8. Covaxin (Bharat Biotech)
Approved in 15 Countries
